Julie McCormick has had a life time of loving animals. Her family has taught her the enjoyment and the love for animals, as she grew up on a hobby farm. She had the privilege of being around horses, cattle, dogs and cats. During her younger years she was involved in the local 4-H Club (Dairy & Light Horse) learning about and caring for the animals.
Julie worked at a local Veterinarian Animal Hospital for 11 years where she also gained valuable experience with animals. During this time she also learned and believed that animals need to be loved and treated with care, for them to live safe and healthy lives.
In 2002 Julie began to pet sit in her own home. Over the years this service grew and with the vision of her father, Julie was excited to expand and opened Jules K-9 Boarding and Pet Care, in August 2007. This Licensed Kennel facility, boards dogs. Julie also provides a service of In-Home-Cat-Care and on site farm care.
Julie feels truly blessed with the support of her family and friends. In the short time her business has been opened she has taken care of dogs from all over New Brunswick, PEId Ontario, Quebec
Julie provides one-on-one care for the dogs, taking the time to have an individual bond with each and every dog and acknowledging that they are very unique in different ways.
The Boarding Kennels are indoors and heated to keep proper temperature, (air conditioned in summer). The Venmar system helps with odor control and good air quality.
The dogs are housed in individual kennels, (unless the owner has more than one dog)
The dogs are individually walked 3-4 times per day. This helps to keep their stress down and output regular.
The kennels are sized according to proper boarding regulations. The kennels are disinfected after each individual use, with a proper disinfecting solution that is used and recommended by Veterinarians.
There is a Outdoor Run Available, with 1 hour intervals, upon request ($10.00 extra per day).
All dogs are required to have all vaccines up to date, according to Veterinary standards, including the Kennel Cough Vaccine.
The owner provides the dogs with their own food, bed or blanket, treats and toys. (Please do not introduce any new food or treats two weeks prior to boarding.)
Julie encourages her clients and their dogs to visit the kennels prior to their stay. This allows the dogs to get familiar with the area, smells and especially Julie which will result in less stress for both the dog and owner for first time customers.
This service involves Julie travelling to the owners home to feed, water and change litter. Julie also offers play time with the cats when they are up to it. This is a great service that allows the cats to be kept in their own environment where they feel more comfortable. Julie also takes out the trash on pick-up days and will feed fish at the owners request as well. Julie is also Bondable.
